1. Overview

DimPlan ("we", "us", "our") is a trip-planning service operated by DimLFace. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. Information we collect

  • Account information — name, email, and password (hashed) when you register; or name and email from Google/Apple when you sign in via OAuth.
  • Trip data — destinations, dates, activities, notes, expenses, uploaded images, and other content you create.
  • Collaboration data — invitations, member roles, and shared trip interactions with people you invite.
  • Session data — authentication cookies required to keep you signed in.
  • Billing data — if you upgrade, payment processing is handled by Stripe; we only store a subscription reference, never full card details.

3. How we use your information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the DimPlan service.
  • To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
  • To sync your trips across devices.
  • To process subscription payments via Stripe.
  • To respond to support requests.

4. Cookies and local storage

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication (so you stay signed in) and localStorage for client-side caching (so the app feels fast). We do not currently use analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and request consent where required.

5. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

  • Service providers that help us operate the app (hosting, Stripe for payments, Google Maps for location services).
  • Trip collaborators you explicitly invite — they can see trip content you share with them.
  • Legal authorities when required by law.

6. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the Profile page, which permanently removes your trips, expenses, uploads, collaborations, bookmarks, and likes.

7. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Most of these actions can be performed directly from your Profile page. For anything else, contact us at dimplan@zohomailcloud.ca.

8. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong, unique password for your account.

9. Children

DimPlan is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the app or email. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version.
